For this assignment, use your textbook and audio lectures from Chapter 8: Personality Disorders You will be analyzing the case studies below and making a diagnosis and providing a recommendation about what type of therapy would be best suited to treat the disorder.
*Do not use other sources, such as Google to do this assignment as there is misinformation on the
internet about psychological disorders and treatments. The authors that wrote the chapters that you will use to do this assignment, are specialized in the areas of Clinical Research and Clinical Psychology. Keep in mind making a clinical diagnosis for a client is a process. Clinicians utilize the DSM-V, research, medical information, and conduct structured interviews with the client. They would never make a diagnosis based solely on a short case study such as those provided below.

Case Study #1
Jeremy saw an elderly woman on the side of the road, and she appeared to be having car trouble. He immediately thought that she would be easy prey. He pulled over and told her that he fixes cars for a living; however, Jeremy is no mechanic. Jeremy then manipulates the women by asking her for money; explaining to her that he will go get the car part she needs and come back to fix her car. The woman gives him $200 to go get the car parts to fix her car. Jeremy takes the money and never returns, leaving the elderly woman stranded.

Katherine made plans to have dinner with her friends. She made sure she arrived at the restaurant exactly on time. She made a point of speaking to every friend for five minutes. She talked mostly about technology and finance and avoided any inquiries about her feelings or personal life. She left precisely at 10 PM because she had work to do at home.

Case Study #3
Anthony arrived at a party and spent most of the time talking about his trip to Italy, his new Tesla, and his favorite Michelin star restaurants. People seemed bored being around him, but he kept right on talking. When he made a critical remark to one of the women about how she was dressed – and hurt her feelings – he could not apologize for his obvious blunder. He tried to talk his way around it, and even seemed to be blaming her for being upset.

Jenna started dating her new boyfriend 2 weeks ago. Whenever he is too busy to see her, she starts freaking out and getting anxious. She will often yell at him and beg him to be with her. She will often check his phone in fear he is cheating.

Case Study #5
Angelica went out with friends and paraded into a club drunk and continued to drink throughout the night. While dancing she was giggling and flirting with many of the men. She expressed “deep affection” to two of the men. Twice during the evening, she disappeared for almost half an hour, each time with a different man. After a violent argument with one of them, because he took “too long” to get her a drink, she locked herself into the bathroom and attempted to swallow a bottle of aspirin. Her friends encouraged her to go home, but she was afraid to be alone in her apartment.
