Hello –
In the coming years there are many of the IOP principles that I feel are relevant to the career I am working to achieve. Specifically, 2.3 “Incorporate theories of change management into your organizational change strategy,” 3.4 “Apply theories of change management,” and 4.2 “Explore how change efforts can affect organizational culture.” I am currently in the IT industry working towards a project management role and would like to eventually progress into a program management role. Within this role I would be responsible for ensuring the execution and organization of the project is successful. These responsibilities include using change management strategies to ensure the impact on the teams is smooth. The types of projects can range from process improvements, new product implementations, and product or process creation. It is vital that I understand how the changes will alter the work of those involved and how the change will be received to then bring success to the organization. The IOP principles are key in assisting with this.
The current timeline to move into this promotion is by the end of 2023. As of 2022 I received a positive review stating that I was performing at a high level based on the measurements of my team and seen as a leader to others. This coming year will require me to take more initiative in my current role and intentionally seek out opportunities that will expose me to other parts of the company. I ultimately needs to bring success to other and scale my current processes to a broader audience. To achieve a program manager role my timeline is 2 years from being promoted to a project manager, essentially 2026.

I believe that I can apply the learning objective “Analyze the Design Principles of Web Pages” to my future career objective of becoming a Web Developer. Knowing the Design Principles of Web Pages is essential for creating successful websites that meet user needs and expectations. With this knowledge, I will be able to develop and design websites that are both visually appealing and functionally effective.
To achieve my career objective of becoming a Web Developer, I need to set a goal for myself to identify strategies that can improve my performance in web development. By improving my performance, I can become more efficient and knowledgeable in this field. This can be achieved by researching and studying different web development techniques and strategies, as well as attending web development courses or workshops. I plan to achieve this goal within the next six months.
To align my performance initiatives with the mission, vision, and values of an organization, I must create an understanding of the organization’s core values and objectives. To do this, I have to research the mission, vision, and values of the organization, and develop an understanding of the values they prioritize. Additionally, I must also research the organization’s current project and goals, and develop an understanding of how my performance initiatives can help achieve these goals. I plan to achieve this goal within the next two months.
