Introduction
Normally when an adolescent is the age of 16 to 17 he or she cannot wait to become an adult. At that time they do not think about the health effects or environment which they will live in as an adult. As a person continues to live they go through early, Middle, and late adulthood. I am going to focus on middle adulthood which is between the ages of 30 to 40 and between 60 to 70 years of age when going to middle adulthood individuals’ health changes. Whereas the energy or appetite decreases, physical appearance, physical strength, and memory.

Three Health Concerns
High blood pressure is a health concern that an individual in their middle adulthood faces. Per Zastrow, it shows that African-Americans are more at risk to develop high blood pressure during middle adulthood than any other race. African-Americans are more at risk because of dietary habits, stress, and health behaviors. When a person has high blood pressure it can cause a person to have problems with the kidney or eyes, heart failure, and dementia.
The second health concern is diabetes. Normally when an individual reaches their early 30s and begins to gain weight diabetes occurs. When diabetes occurs, taking affects the kidney where kidney stones and gallstones can begin. Once a person begins to have diabetes it can also affect the eyes and feet. Diabetes comes from poor diet which causes the person to become overweight and lack physical activity. When a person does not have a healthy diet and is not active a person becomes overweight which turns into obesity and diabetes (Zastrow et al., 2019).
The last concern is that middle adulthood individuals are concerned about their image. When the end of the year is in their 30s and their hair color starts to change, weight gain, wrinkles appear, and skin changes (Zastrow et al., 2019). When the hair starts to change gray or white that causes a person to become insecure. When weight gain begins a person is unable to wear certain clothing. Lastly when the skin changes it can become dry or saggy in places where other people can see. When other people see these images and cause a person to be insecure and lose their confidence in middle adulthood.

Factors Impact Health Concerns
The Fuchs (2023), Black, Hispanic, Asian American people are at risk of type two diabetes and high blood pressure. These three cultures are at high risk because of poor food choices and lack of exercise. Also because of family history. The Fuchs (2023), says that Asians have more body fat which they carry more of the bed in their adamant. When having more fat in the adamant it is harmful because the hormone insulin is hard to break down in the body. The African-American race How type two diabetes because of not having enough potassium in their body and unhealthy diet.
The Fuchs (2023), over 34 million children, teens, and adults in the United States have been affected by diabetes. In America 60% of African-Americans are likely to be diagnosed with type two diabetes. In 2018 it shows that more black men were diagnosed with diabetes (Fuchs, 2023). Type two diabetes are both genetic and environmental factors (Fuchs, 2023).

The Rishe (2021), says Black Americans are likely also to have hypertension then white. The reason for that is their live these it. Black Americans have bad diet habits, social network, stress, unhealthy behaviors. Not being able to eat a balanced meal can’t bring on stress and unhealthy behaviors. When a person is stressed it allows their black person pressure and heart rate to rise.
Rishe (2021), “Socioeconomic factors have an impact on healthcare outcomes and risk of developing certain health conditions”(6). Individuals who are middle aged suffer because if they do not have employment he and she does not have good healthcare. Not having good healthcare causes people not to go in for medical attention. When a person does not have income they just live day today. Lack of income causes an individual not to have housing or healthcare and mental health issues (Rishe, 2021).

Social Work Assessment
As a social worker, the process of conducting assessment involves taking into account a wide range of factors that can influence a person’s health and well-being. This includes both the individual and environmental factors that can affect the person’s physical and mental health. To address potential health concerns, a social worker will first gather information about the client’s history, current health status, and any medical conditions or diagnosis. This information can be obtained through an interview or the release of medical records. In addition, social worker can look into a person’s living conditions. They also examine environmental factors that can impact health such as access to healthy food options and safe housing conditions. Based on information a social worker can develop an assessment that identifies any health concerns as well as an environmental and social factor that can contribute to them. I will also include recommendations for intervention and support services that can help address concerns to improve the person’s overall health and well-being. Overall the assessment process is an essential part of a social worker’s promoting health equity, addressing health, and identifying the underlying social problems that can be helped.
