However, when explaining gender/sex, ethnicity, and other important factors, do so in a general summary- do not present all the numbers and percentages for every demographic! Instead, give me the “big picture” of who the participants were: For example, you might say, “the 6th graders were mostly Hispanic/Latinx, with around 20% Caucasian.”   When deciding what demographics to discuss, consider whether they are an important part of the study or if they would influence the results in any meaningful way.
